What's your background?
Jess: I was born and grew up in the Wollongong area, with pretty much all of my family close by. We're quite tight-knit and growing up I thought it was really normal to see both sets of grandparents for a meal at least once or twice a week. A lot of who I am today came from the years of sitting around their dinner tables for hours on end, telling stories from the week, having deep theological discussions and doing a whole lot of laughing (all of which we still do to this day).
Bryan: I was born in Abbotsford BC, Canada. I have two older brothers (one married with two daughters), a younger sister (married with a son), and a younger brother. My childhood aspirations were to be an NBA star, until I realized white guys can't jump. My home situation was a bit fractured, with my parents divorcing when I was eight, but my parents were both loving, and I have good memories with each of them. Most of my childhood was spent outdoors: hiking, biking, rollerblading, getting into trouble with my siblings and/or friends, and generally dreaming of the day I'd have a car and more than two dollars (which seemed like a million).
